Creating since 1981, ŽivaZanka Handmade owner and product creator since 2013
I have been yarn crafting since I was four years old, for creative relaxation and as a way of developing my cognitive functions. About a decade ago I created ŽivaZanka Handmade.
The brand name stems from my name “Živa”, which is closely related to the notion of life. “Zanka”, the second part, can be translated into English as “a loop” in crochet or knitting. Thus, the ŽivaZanka Handmade items are inspired by life and intended to support life through crochet or knitted loops.

ŽivaZanka Handmade attempts to create unique wearable artistic accessories of quality, which can be worn for a longer period of time. They are tailored to your personality, clothing style, and way of life. Thus, choosing these items helps one to break free from the widespread culture of conspicuous consumption of cheap low-quality trendy items. It therefore helps transform consumption attitudes and habits into more ethical, less wasteful and less environmentally harmful ones. In other words, wearing these products supports life.
